Charis isnt afaid to tell it how it is, openly. How many people can do that? Apparently noone. She's also pretty damn nice once you get to know her.
Cole is a really nice guy and not a fag (and that's a horrible term)
All the other kids that are labeled as "dirty indie kids" well, they have great style and are generally really smart. So why talk shit?
